Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

I. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” Behold I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of…… (here name your request)
Our Father….Hail Mary….Glory Be to the Father….Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

II. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.” Behold, in your name, I ask the Father for the grace of…….(here name your request) Our Father…Hail Mary….Glory Be To the Father….Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

III. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.” Encouraged by your infallible words I now ask for the grace of…..(here name your request) Our Father….Hail Mary….Glory Be to the Father…Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of you, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender Mother and ours.

    Prayers for a very dear friend Margaret who had a baby girl w/Downs Syndrome. Allie is one year old and has been in CHildrens hosp up till just before her 1st birthday. She is now back for surgery on her heart, her chances are very small. The surgery was cancelled yesterday due to Allie having a fever.

    Margaret and Jimmy were advised, strongly, by the Dr several times to abort this child. They were given very terrible scenarios of how the baby would be if Margaret carried her full term. One scenario was that she would not have a brain. During the pregnancy things were touch and go constantly. Emergencies were constantly coming up and Margaret would go to the hospital for care. She strongly advocates the life of a child and was expecting Allie to be born near death. But her and Jimmy still held out hope, they knew she would be a special child sent to them by God!

    I prayed to St. Gianna, that was about the first time she came to our parish and holy cards were given out and we were permitted to touch St Gianna’s gloves. Many others also prayed for Margaret and her baby. Allie was born w/a brain, but severly ill with heart problems, she has had a trach since she was born in order to be fed. Margaret and Jimmy were at the hospital all the time, Several month ago, Jimmy was laid off so they decided he would be a stay at home “DAD”, they have another little girl Lizzie who is 4. Jim stays at the hospital all day until Lizzie is done pre school, then Margaret comes right from work to stay with Allie. The baby was only home about a month before this surgery for which she is hospitalized was scheduled.

    Please pray to St.Gianna for little Allie. thank you so much.

    Please pray for Christopher — he goes for surgery this tuesday June 15 — Kathleen will give us the time… He is close to my heart — just have such a good feeling when I pray for him — up in CT I believe — let’s send him up prayers… this comes from a woman of grace — suffering like Mary –

    Please say a prayer could say a prayer for my son Christopher is 19 years old, and because of the effects of spina-bifida , and a previous surgery which failed, he is left with very little bladder. He needs a whole new bladder. The upcoming surgery to try to create a new bladder from intestines is daunting, dangerous, and very hard to face after all he has been through. The only good answer for him is a healing from our Father in heaven. If it is possible, your prayers would be SO very appreciated.
