Thank you for coming to our parish. It was truly a gift to have you share your message with us. Since I am a young adult, it is hard for me to know where I stand in my faith with all of the temptations and questions. IT was a healing experience for me.

  • http://FiredUpCatholics.com/ Marie Joseph

Dear Sarah — thank you so much for this note — I am so blessed that you experienced healing! Praise God! I know all about finding out where you stand in faith — and lots about temptations — so glad you were able to gain some light and clarity in the Lord that Night — keep in touch and I am praying for you — hope to see you again soon! God bless you!

Saw you on the show, you have a fascinating story and you tell it well and I know it must have helped so many on thier journeys. May we each use our pain and stumbles as well as you have for the Glory of God!! Tammy in Virginia

Just finished watching your appearance on Journey Home. What a witness you gave. I am a converted Catholic, once Presbyterian, and only after my Catholic conversion am I able to say I have a relationship with Jesus. I was so glad you emphasized a relationship with Christ. I fear it is missing in too many people who say they are Christian, whether Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant. KEEP UP YOUR WORK. G. from Pennsylvania

Just saw you on the Journey Home program on EWTN and enjoyed hearing your story. May God continue to bless you!

Couldn't have heard your story at a better time! When Marcus explained at the start of the show why Mother Angelica wanted him to do the show, I felt like he was talking to me! I have 2 grown sons who call themselves Catholic, but while it may be in their mind, it is not in their heart – yet! I also have 6 siblings, all of whom were raised Catholic and are now either in an evangelical tradition, or nothing at all. I pray for them all every day to come Home but it is so encouraging to hear stories like yours. I also feel I am an “on fire” Catholic, thanks to the grace of God, and am trying to discern how God can use me to spread His fire!

    Marie,

I just finished watching your interview with Marcus Grodi on “The Journey Home”. Your story is my story. I am a Catholic “Revert” and nearly 2 years ago responded to a call from God to return to His church. True to my “perfectionist persona” I have structured a prayer life, numerous bible studies and can't seem to get enough Catholic TV and radio programs. But, I feel I lack the spontaneity and flow I know will make my evangelization efforts more effective. I would love to talk with you if you are ever in the Akron, Ohio area. We have a very active parish, St. Hilary's, and know there are many people there with whom you would relate. Thanks again for your witness and hard work!

I loved your testimony on the Journey Home. I'm a revert and so is my sister. Yesterday was the feast of the conversion of St Paul. His example (and yours) shows that no one is beyond hope.

Marie ,I just watched you so honestly lay out your early troubled life and watched thankfully as we learnt of your return to your Catholic Faith.
The comment that related to me so much was your insistance “that you are waiting for Heaven”.
Those of us who love Jesus and pray constantly always have that wonderful feeling of expectation.
    Truly beautiful program. Thank You

  • Sguess7gifts

Wonderful to hear your witness and to know how you have responded to the love of your life, Jesus Christ. I identify very strongly with you as a lifetime Catholic who fell away from the Church and lived a life of sin for many years. I have been on fire with love of Christ since my reconversion and enjoyed your comments about just answering questions for those who have objections or anger at the Church in stead of trying to convince them they are wrong (something I have been guilty of, I am afraid. I pray for my loved ones that they too may experience this conversion. If Jesus could save me, He can save them, too.

Marie, I saw your story on the JH and absolutely loved it! Of course I enjoy hearing the stories from JH guests that have converted from Protestant backgrounds and whose conversion story usually revolves around some passage of scripture that they finally understood in a new light after years of deep reflection and prayer. But I always wondered, “Hey, where's the stories from cradle-cultural-catholic-when convenient types like me who sleepwalked through CCD and would have had a hard time naming the four gospels, much less understanding them?”. I could relate to so many parts of your story as I also began discovering the faith I'd been born into for the first time after my kids started growing up and I figured I better start making sure I have some answers to the important questions when they come up. It's very encouraging to see where you're at today. I have a couple of good friends/neighbors here in Northern Virginia who are originally from NJ and are fallen away Catholics now attending a large Evangelical church. They've encouraged me to attend their services and bible studies on a few occasions. Watching your story I was thinking, “Boy, I'd love to get them in a room with Marie Joseph for an hour or two”. But on second thought, maybe that's why the Lord made sure I saw your story, because he'd rather I did it. Keep up the great work, hope to see/hear from you more often.

Marie, good job on JH!!! I am a revert as well and can certainly relate to your story. I am proud of you and your work – keep it up! I would like to see more Catholics “open” themselves to others and get people involved. Many times Catholics go to church and are so afraid to engage their fellow Catholics. I think you are doing a wonderful job at attempting to change that mind set…

  • Marie

Marie, I usually keep my time from 2-3 as my prayer hour. I was married for 18 years, divorced, twice and remarried to a wonderful man. I do practice my faith that has grown so strong after my youngest son past away
three years ago. The journey has been both painful and wonderful because God has let me back into His life.
I am confused on the journey to heaven, because of my two failed marriages. I believe that I have been forgiven
yet there is still some shadows before me. I don't know what Jesus Christ wants me to do. I am very depressed,
and confused. Pray for me and my family. Please help if you can. I loved watching you on JH. It was the start of
what I think God is trying to tell me.

  • George

    Marie,
I just saw you on EWTN and just wanted to say how inspirational your story is!!! Your honesty, passion and humility are truly remarkable! One can see the Holy Spirit alive and well in you. Has anyone ever commented about your name; I think it's providential. You are a good example of the Holy Family, especially since you've invited Jesus into it!!! Keep up the good work!!

  • Manny

Marie, just saw The Journey Home show. It was wonderful. Thank you for your testimony. You are now doing the Lord's work. God bless.

  • MayaG

    Thank you Marie
This is one of my best EWTN Journey Home episodes that I will treasure always! And I have seen many. It is my favorite show that keeps my faith on fire.
A friend of mine is going through such a hard time with her faith and keeps getting degrees and other external ways of finding the joy of Jesus in her heart, but it doesn't come. I am praying for her. This show was very inspiring to me in helping my friend. Thank you so much!

    Dear Marie,

Just saw the rebroadcast of your appearance on Journey Home. What a beautiful and inspiring witness you gave.
You certainly ARE on fire for the Lord. Thank you for sharing your story so honestly, I'm sure you inspired many viewers.

    Peace and Blessings,

I am most grateful to EWTN, Journey Home, and personal testimony by Marie Joseph. Christ Jesus, our Blessed Mother Mary, and Joseph continue to embrace us in our life journey, as children of God. It is difficult to recognize the calling to return home to the richness of our Catholic faith, when in the midst of defiance, suffering, separation, and departure from God's intention of the natural family structure.

  • Marie

Hi George I love this post — I truly am grateful for your tuning in and your edification — and you can only imagine how much I appreciated this name after my reversion!!!! It is my married name too! God bless!

  • Marie

Hi!! I LOVE THIS!!! I am cracking up with “sleepwalked through CCD” I'm going to have to use that one if you don't mind!!! YOU are so right — the Lord wants you to get so fired up that you do it — but I would love to come down there and fire all the Catholics up! You know if we who are in the church all got fired up — the fallen away would just have to come back — they would forget why they left in the first place — isn't it like a bad marriage — the spouse leaves — what is there to come back to? We've got to be the fired up bride of Christ — totally irresistable to those who left!! Amen? Thanks for this great post!

  • Marie

Thank you so much!!! It truly was the Holy Spirit and I was so glad that I was able to say that — Heaven BABY!
It truly is how I feel as do so many wonderful Catholics! Can't wait to get there and kick back enjoying eternity! See you there!! Let's work it out with fear and trembling! God bless you!

  • Marie

Thanks Manny — how kind of you to post here! Thanks for watching — be fired up for our Lord! God bless you!

  • Marie

Amen — this is beautiful — we all are guilty of going overboard in trying to win back the fallen away! But if we all got fired up ourselves with the love of God — they would have no choice but to come back!! Let's give them something to come back to — lead them with love! Thank you and God bless -Marie

  • Marie

Wasn't that so cool — I had no idea that the Conversion of St. Paul would be the next day!!!! God is good! God bless you!

  • Marie

OH THANK YOU — that makes it so special — even I am watching it and receiving so much — that proves it truly was the Holy Spirit — I am so glad that you can help your friend — God bless you – Marie

  • Marie

Hi — We all have the same story — It is Jesus — just different details — same Word!! We all end up women at the well — I love what you wrote here — I would love to come to Ohio sometime – just invite me! God bless you!
    Marie

  • Marie

WOW this is great!! Sounds like He has given you work to do right in your own family… but a prophet is never welcomed in their own house – town etc… so keep being an on fire Catholic and He will direct you — love everyone in your family — right back to the one true church! God bless you -

  • Marie

thanks Sean!!! Hope you are well!

  • Marie

Amen Yolanda — we must never forget all those struggling with truth and broken lives — pray and reach out to them every day! Marie

  • Marie

Thanks Loren! If we do as you say– we will see a church on fire as Jesus wanted it to be — why He came to set the earth on FIRE!!! God bless you! Marie

  • Marie

God bless you Ken! I really appreciate these kind words!! If I hadn't suffered I would not know His Mercy and that is what I am so fired up about — the harvest is plenty — there sure is a lot of brokeness out there — thanks for being a laborer! Marie

  • Marie

WOW Marie — this is great! Were you ever married in the Catholic church? This is your time and absolutely anything I can do to help you — prayer number one!! Feel free to email me on the contact us page — being depressed and confused is not from God — and if you believe you have been forgiven then you are — did you go to the Sacrament of Confession!! Just need some clarity to get things in order — God loves you — And no coincidence that you tuned in to the JH show! God bless -
    Marie
